David Sloan

david sloanDavid Sloan is a director at Eurasia Group, the head of its Asia practice, and its lead analyst on India. He has specialized in India since 1988, working with global companies and investors in a wide range of sectors. A graduate of Tufts University and The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, David has been on the boards of both private and publicly traded companies as well as a trustee and director of a number of non-profits. His articles on South Asia and various international topics have appeared in the op-ed pages of the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Asian Wall Street Journal, International Herald Tribune, and Times of India, among other publications.

Previously, he was The Scowcroft Group’s senior consultant for South Asia for 17 years and president of Corporate Strategies International. Prior to that, he was executive vice president at Charles Percy & Associates, a Washington-based international consulting boutique, helping corporate clients increase their business in a variety of countries, including Japan, Taiwan, China, Egypt, and the former Soviet Union. Prior to that, he served for eight years as an economic officer in the U.S. Foreign Service. David has also been a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington and the Rajiv Gandhi Institute in New Delhi.
